Which way does the paper go back in?
This two-sheet test answers it for your printer. It shows whether the backs need to print in reverse order and whether they need turning upside down. The answer is saved in your browser for the duplex wizard.

What the test tells you
| Back of sheet 1 shows | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 2, right way up | Print the backs in normal order. No rotation needed. |
| 4 | Your printer feeds the reloaded stack last sheet first. Print the backs in reverse order. |
| Upside down | The paper goes back in with the other edge first. Rotate the backs 180°. |
| Printed on top of the 1 | Your printer prints on the other side. Reload the stack without turning it over. |
Write the result on a sticky note and put it on your printer. You won’t need the test again.
